Google Rolls Out Android 15 Beta 4 to Pixel Devices

Google has started rolling out the fourth and final beta of Android 15 to eligible Pixel devices. This includes the Pixel 6 series and newer, the Pixel Fold, and the Pixel Tablet. The stable version is scheduled for release on August 13, coinciding with the announcement of the Pixel 9 series and a new Fold model.

Beta 2 introduced features like Private Spaces and an efficient AV1 video decoder. Beta 3 finalized APIs for app developers, leaving a few changes for Beta 4, except for the deprecation of the PNG-based emoji font in favor of vector emojis.

Apps targeting Android 15 can now be published on the Google Play Store. The list of supported devices includes:

  • Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a
  • Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a
  • Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a
  • Pixel Tablet
  • Pixel Fold

Other manufacturers, such as Samsung, OnePlus, and Honor, are also testing their own Android 15 updates.
