Xiaomi, one of the top smartphone brands globally, is set to launch its own 5G chipset in early 2025. The new chipset, co-developed with Unisoc, will be fabricated using TSMC’s advanced 4nm N4P technology. This chipset is expected to deliver performance comparable to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Xiaomi’s previous attempt at developing a chipset was the Surge S1 in 2017. The new 5G chipset marks a significant step forward in Xiaomi’s technological capabilities, promising enhanced performance and connectivity for upcoming devices.
